ALLYNVIEW Farm’s Kristen Nicol has been recognised on the global stage, placing third in the Food and Beverage category of the Women Changing the World Awards.
It is an achievement the family behind the farm near Gresford said feels “surreal”.
The honour represents far more than an award.
It reflects a growing movement toward transparency in food production and a desire for people to reconnect with where their food comes from.
“The response has honestly been overwhelming in the best possible way,” Kristen and Ben Nicol said.
“What stood out most wasn’t people celebrating the award itself, but people saying they felt proud to have watched this farm grow over the last six years and proud to support what we’re building here.
“So many people spoke about trust, values, and authenticity.
“It reinforced for us that this farm has never been built alone.
“Our community has played a huge role in what Allynview has become.”
Placing third globally has also highlighted a broader shift in consumer attitudes toward food and farming.
“People everywhere are looking to reconnect with their food and understand the impact it has on their health, their communities, and the environment around them,” the family said.
“They want to know who produced it, how it was raised, and what values sit behind it.”
Despite the international recognition, the vision for Allynview Farm remains unchanged and perhaps even strengthened.
“This feels less like an end point and more like confirmation that we should keep building.
“Our vision has always been bigger than just producing beef.
“We want to help reconnect people with food again.”
