DUNGOG Shire farmers, primary producers and agribusinesses with unwanted or expired agricultural chemicals are being encouraged to register for the upcoming ChemClear collection.
The program provides a safe and responsible way to dispose of eligible Group 2 agricultural chemicals that cannot be accepted through the drumMUSTER program.
Financial assistance is available for eligible participants, thanks to support from the NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA).
With Dungog Shire declared a natural disaster area following the May 2025 weather event, eligible local producers may be able to access additional assistance through the program.
Proper disposal helps reduce the risk of chemical exposure on farms, prevents potentially harmful substances from entering the environment and helps keep unwanted chemicals out of sheds and storage areas.
Registrations must be made with Agsafe by 31 August 2026.
Once registrations close, Agsafe will contact participants with details when a local collection is scheduled.
For local producers, it is a timely opportunity to clear out unwanted chemicals safely while helping protect farms, families and the wider Dungog community.
